Woman’s Education
Many women in Jordan experience poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment. In turn, this impacts their children. In an effort to combat the issues these women face, a range of initiatives have been established to improve their access to education and skills training and promote income- generating activities.
We partnered with local centers for women and girls that aim to improve their education and provide them with professional development opportunities in order to become self-sufficient. Jordanian culture is centered around food, and a core focus is teaching the women how to cook on a commercial scale as a means to generate income and support their families. Other areas of skill training and development include arts and handicrafts, embroidery and fashion design, computer training and teaching English.
